How do we start the design process and what is involved?

I start the process with a complimentary consultation over the phone. You can book this consultation over the phone, by email or via my Instagram page.

During the consultation, I will discuss your project, location, details, timelines, and budget to ensure that we cover all of the important aspects. At the end of the consultation, you will have a clear understanding of the process and we will send over a summary via email detailing the next steps and the items covered in the initial consultation

What's the smallest size project you do?

Our landscape design services range in sizes as I have experience working on small residential spaces starting at 50 square meters to large residential properties, commercial properties, swimming pools, playgrounds, sensory gardens, community gardens, and more.

Sservices Explained:

Design Intent – A digital PDF document that includes inspirational images, colour scheme recommendations and advice for what can be achieved for your landscape design project based on your brief.
Materials Specification – A digital PDF document that includes inspirational images, products, material selections, furniture styles and lighting.
Site Analysis – A site visit to your property to measure where appropriate with a consultation to discuss your landscape design requirements and brief.
2D rendered plan – A 2D plan (aerial view) of the landscape or garden design produced on Auto CAD or similar with any suggested alterations and zoning including proposed plant locations and hard materials. This plan will then be rendered in colour to represent selected materials and colour schemes.
Lighting Plan – 2D technical plans created on Auto CAD of all lighting types, placements, sockets and switches to show where all of the lighting items will be placed within the landscape, and they will connect
3d modelling & photo-realistic visuals – Realistic digital renders of the proposed landscape. This will give a clear view of the landscape design intent supporting any material or plant selections. This will be represented in PDF format to be referred to during the design process. Initial changes are accepted but future changes will be priced separately.
Design elevations – These are scaled 2D drawings, usually for construction purposes allowing a straight view through an area of the landscape to help determine how the design may look, often with some level of change illustrated.

How much will my garden design cost?

The cost of our landscape and garden design service varies as I offer a range of different services.
The main factors to consider before engaging in a design service are the size of your project, is it domestic or commercial, your budget, accessibility, drainage, and levels in combination with your design brief.
My fees typically range from 5-10% of your overall landscape budget.
After we have spoken with you regarding your project, brief and budget, we will send you a design fee proposal detailing each phase of the design process. We will work with you and your project budget to ensure we can create a design that meets your expectations and bring your design vision to life.
